We look forward to spending the day with all who have registered for the 2022 Leadership Conference.
As we transition from two years of harsh working and living conditions, much pain and uncertainty, ALNAHN extends its most sincere welcome and gratitude to our attendees, Exhibitors and Sponsors, all who have courageously and selflessly served to improve the lives of our communities. The speakers and topics for this conference were intentionally selected for the purpose of providing inspiration and an opportunity to reset our professional and personal compass, heal the human spirit, and hopefully rekindle and form new relationships.
March, what a great time of year. It’s when the world begins to shake off the cold of winter and transition into longer and warmer days, a signal of growth, change, and a new outlook. We welcome you and encourage you to embrace the day, enjoy, learn, connect, and be inspired!
As a reminder, check-in begins at 7:30 am on the first floor of the (The Harbert Center in Birmingham). Parking is on the street or parking garage across the street. Everyone's temperature will be checked upon entry. If you are not feeling well or have been exposed to someone with any communicable illness, please stay home and contact Grace Grau @ nursegg@uab for a refund. Cleaning of contact surfaces will be ongoing by the Harbert Center and note that masks are optional.

There will be a drawing for a free membership to a professional nursing organization, professional photo shoot for a nominal fee ($15 for non ALNAHN members). With this said, the attire is business casual, however, you may want to wear or bring a formal top if you plan to take professional portraits. Continental breakfast, lunch (provided by the Network of the National Library of Medicine) and snacks are included.
Last but not least, please take time to interact with our Exhibitors (UAB Medicine, UAB School of Nursing, Network of the National Library of Medicine and the Birmingham Black Nurses Association) and thank them for supporting our education and professional development. Dr. Lori Loan, Dr. Felisha Bowen and Dr. Lynn Stover Nichols sponsored student registrations and organization memberships, so please remember to thank them as well. Special thanks to the UAB Medicine Center for Nursing Excellence for being the provider of the CEUs.
